Tenderhearted - Pray that the Lord softens the hearts of His people to the place that we are truly tenderhearted towards Him, but also each other and the world around us. With anger and hostility rising in the world, pray that we walk instead in the radical kindness of Jesus. Eph 4:32
Marriages - Intercede for the strengthening of marriages, especially within the Church. Pray for forgiveness, deep levels of communication and for marriages to grow rich in love. Cry out for those with unbelieving spouses, that the Lord would woo these ones to Himself.
Universities - One of Canada’s greatest battlegrounds is our university and college campuses. Pray for Christian students and faculty. Pray for campus ministries to be filled with the fire of God. Contend for revival to sweep the campuses, with thousands coming to Christ.

PRAY FOR THE CHURCH

The scriptures reveal God's amazing vision of His Church.
Each month we will focus on a different aspect of the Church, as revealed in scripture, and pray that that aspect would be revived.
This month we focus on:

The Church is the Body of Christ
Eph 4:4 | Rom 12:4,5 | 1 Cor12:12-31 | Col 1:18
This means:

all members are needed and valued- pray we would be filled with love and healed from independence
we were meant to be united- pray for this to tangibly increase
all members have spiritual gifts- pray these are activated, matured and used to build up the whole

Harvest- Continue to pray for the summer to bring unprecedented harvest. Pray that the nation will grow deeply hungry for God and that the Church will use every opportunity to boldly share the Good News of Jesus. Keep lifting up all the summer camps and VBS outreaches!
The Prophetic- The Lord has been speaking to the Prophetic Council through a vision of a church bell being rung in these days. It’s a vision that represents what He desires to do with the prophetic. May the gift of prophesy ring out in new and freshly restored ways. Pray that it is clear, pure and centred on Jesus.
Reconciliation - Across the nation, the Lord has been strongly emphasizing that it’s time for reconciliation. Pray that even long-estranged relationships would be restored. Pray for grace, humility and forgiveness to grow in the Body of Christ. Believe for miracle reconciliations.

pray for extravagant praise to rise from the Church
pray for a posture of surrender in every believer

Military - Pray for the men and women of the Canadian military. Pray for revival on the bases and for the power of God to be poured out to bring His life into every place of need. Contend for family health, mental health and most of all, spiritual health. Pray for chaplains, and that churches close to bases would be wise and strategic in their ministry to the military.
Camps - The government’s abortion attestation requirement has hurt the ability of Christian kid’s camps to hire staff this year, but God is still in charge! Pray that all the camps would be even more fruitful as the Holy Spirit anoints speakers and counsellors to share the gospel. Pray as well for VBS type day camps, that they would be places where kids encounter God in marvellous ways.
Healing - Pray for everyone in the Body of Christ with chronic illness or injury and pray that healing would pour out of the Church to the world around us. Intercede that every church would see an increase of healing miracles, so that faith for healing becomes widespread. Pray for inner healing, healing of relationships, marriages, anxieties and all kinds of mental illnesses. Our God heals!

Your Kingdom Come

pray for the gospel to be confirmed with signs of God’s power transforming lives
pray for righteousness, peace and joy to increase as Jesus’ kingdom increases in our midst
pray that all our personal kingdom building and selfish ambitions be laid down to serve His Kingdom

Peace: Pray for the Church to be filled with the power and wonder of God’s peace. May our lives and our churches manifest peace in an age of great anxiety. This is not a call to passivity or inaction, but to live a bold life marked with the power of God’s peace that stills all waves! Pray for peace and shalom in relationships as well —marriages, families and all relationships throughout the Church.
Humility: God gives grace to the humble, but our natural orientation is toward pride! Pray for the Canadian Church to follow Jesus’ example of a life lived in true humility. May ego, boasting and selfish ambition be washed away. Intercede that the Lord would also show us where self-righteousness or pretense are holding us back from genuine, deep humility
First Peoples: June 21 is National Aboriginal Day. Let’s stand in the gap for the First Peoples of Canada, that they would be gloriously impacted by the love of God. Pray for the ministries that are serving the First Peoples and pray for the power of the Spirit to flow bringing the life and healing of Jesus.

Deliver Us From Evil

Pray that the Lord delivers the Church from demonic influence, attack and deception.
Pray for an increase of sanctification so that we would be delivered from the evil of our own hearts.
Pray for our nation to be delivered from evil trends of corruption, loss of freedoms, the breakdown of the family — and more.

Suddenlies- There is a widespread prophetic sense that we are at a tipping point and the “suddenlies of God” could occur in many areas that have been previously unmoving. The sudden change in North Korea is a great example. Pray for all the things that have resisted the kingdom of God, places where darkness has seemed entrenched. Pray with new faith for great turnaround and breakthrough.
Evangelism- Intercede for an explosion of evangelism to break out in the Canadian Church! Pray for new, effective strategies to reach this generation, pray for a greater activation of evangelism gifts, pray for a deep stirring of compassion for those that don’t know Christ.
The Glorious Church - Stand in the gap that the Canadian Church would be unquestionably known as the dwelling place of God. Pray that God’s presence would fill and mark the Church releasing signs, miracles, wisdom, peace, truth, love, power and more. Contend for the Church where is is weak, immature or faltering. Jesus’ desire is that the Church be glorious; may this also be our desire.

Hallowed Be Your Name

Pray that all we do would bring honour to God’s name
Pray that His name would be exalted though our wholehearted, abandoned worship
Pray that the Fear of the Lord restores the awe (hallowing) of God to the Church

Awakening - The recent tragedy in Humboldt has moved the nation to sorrow and created space for spiritual conversations. Pray that the Father will use this and other events as catalysts for a national spiritual awakening. May prayer for true, holy, revival also be awakened as harvest is birthed in the prayer closet.
Unity- While our nation is becoming more divided and polarized, Jesus is calling us to contend for unprecedented unity in the Church! Pray for all unity to be Christ-centred so it will be healthy and enduring. May we walk in humility and grace for one another’s differences.
Word of God- Contend for a new love of the scriptures to rise up in the Church. Intercede for the Holy Spirit to open the Word to the Church and reveal Jesus, life and the truth that sets us free. Intercede for the Church to happily submit to the truth of scripture. Also pray for a new level of prophetic gifting that is pure, powerful and brings clarity to the Body of Christ.

Forgive Us Our Sins

Shine your light into our hearts, show us if there be any wicked way in us. (Ps 139:24)
We repent for wherever we have fallen short of the first commandment to love You, and the second command to love our neighbour as ourselves. (Mt 22:36-40)
Restore the fear of the Lord, which is to hate evil— to the Canadian Church. (Prov 8:13)

Praise— May revelation of the greatness and goodness of God bring the Canadian Church in to the power of praise. Pray that praise becomes our lifestyle regardless if things are going well or we are in times of deep struggle. God dwells in the praises of His people! Ps 22:3
Easter— Intercede for the Church this Easter weekend! Pray for many salvations, for powerful preaching on the cross and resurrection, and for all those that will be baptized.
Unity— The Lord is building unexpected unity in dramatic ways. Stand in the gap for every unity initiative and inter-church networks that foster unity. It’s time for big steps toward John 17. Seek the Lord that the Jesus that unites us will be central in all that we do.

Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven

A prayer of surrender, as Jesus prayed in Gethsemane
His will is revival in the Church!
His will is a massive harvest in this generation!
May God’s will be done in every decision and in all the ways we need direction

Be Fruitful! The Father is speaking everywhere: “Church, be fruitful and multiply”! Pray for the Canadian Church to do just that! Pray for the fruit of the kingdom of God to breakout in all our churches, in our families, and in the marketplace around us. Pray for life to burst forth where there has been barrenness. Pray for multiplication, more lives changed, more leaders raised up, more labourers sent out into the harvest, and more glory go to Jesus.
Prophecy and Discernment - We love the revelatory gifts of God, pray for more! Pray for a new wave! Pray that those with these gifts would be both activated and matured in them. Pray also for new levels of discernment to weigh and apply prophetic revelation so that it becomes a glorious, life-giving gift to the Church.
Atlantic Canada- Pray for Atlantic Canada- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland & Labrador. Pray for an awakening of prayer, an outpouring of the Spirit, and for unity among the churches.

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

pray for the Bread of His Presence to be given to us daily
pray for the Word of God to abound in the Church, both the scriptures and the voice of God through prophecy
pray for the communion table to be a place of encounter
pray for full provision for every need

Activation- Pray for the Body of Christ, that every member will be activated to serve the Lord. May no one be dormant, may no one be overworked. Pray for a fresh activation, or even an upgrading of gifts so that everyone will be fulfilling that which they were called for.
Harvest- Intercede for the harvest in 2018! Contend for a great ingathering of souls, as well as a restoration of faith for this harvest in those who have felt like they have “fished all night” only to come up empty handed.
Holiness- It’s time for the Lord to lead us out of the mixture that has diluted or distorted the kingdom in our lives and churches. Pray that the Lord would lead us out of the works of the flesh and the ways of man where these have been mixed into how we are living and seeking to expand His kingdom.

Your Kingdom Come

pray for the Church to surrender in greater ways to His kingship
pray for the power of the kingdom to increase in the Canadian Church
pray for the good gospel of the kingdom to be heard by the hungry in our nation
pray for the Church to awaken in a longing for Christ’s return

Joy- Intercede for the Canadian Church to be filled with the deep, abiding, joy of the Lord. May joy mark us despite struggle, grief or suffering. Pray for those who are susceptible to depression, especially during the Christmas season.
Family Salvations- Stand in the gap for breakthroughs in family salvations. Let us pray zealously with renewed faith in the One who is able to seek and save the lost. Lift up all those, even in extended families, who don’t yet know the Lord.
Universities- The extent of the oppression of free speech in universities has recently come to the light, continue to pray for respectful freedom of speech and thought to be established on campuses. Pray that a door will now open for widespread proclamation of the gospel on university campuses.
Christmas- Pray for the Church as we celebrate Christmas. May Jesus truly be the centre, may He be glorified, revealed, proclaimed. May all Christmas events and services draw hearts to Him.
Callings- Intercede for every believer, in the marketplace, at home, or in vocational ministry to know how God has called them to serve Him. Contend for doors to now open for those who have been prepared and are waiting to be released. Pray for those who have given up on delayed callings or feel life events have disqualified them.
