1. Egypt: Canada is called to bring healing to the nations, so in prayer we must be listening for what God wants us to contend for globally. Clearly this is a time to pray for Egypt, a nation with glorious promises, and a history of dramatic signs and wonders. God loves Egypt! Pray for harvest, and a tremendous advancing of the Kingdom of God through these days of upheaval. Pray for surrounding Arab countries that are also influenced by similar spiritual forces and are shaking at this time.
2. Prophetic: There is a sense across the nation that a new wave of the prophetic is coming, with a clear, strong, flow and at a higher level than we have experienced in the past. Thank God for what He has released and ask for more!
3. Next Generation: The most frequent theme in prayer across the nation right now is for the next generation. Pray for those that are rising up right now, and who are carrying a new sound. Pray protection, blessing, favour, anointing, provision for these ones that are running like a young David into the battle.
4. First People: The Lord is also focusing prayer on Canada's First Peoples, reminding the nation that the Forgiven Summit was only the beginning of a deep healing and restoration that He desires to release. Pray for the next steps in this journey to be walked out and pray for the strategic leaders that God has raised up to facilitate healing, justice and restoration.
5. Fear of the Lord: Contend in prayer for the Fear of the Lord to mark the Church of Canada. Let us stand together in intercession and cry out to welcome the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord (Isa 11: 2) and that it would impact every aspect of our walk and life.
6. Worship: In this "year of the Lion", there is already a strong focus on worship and extended times of worship to release breakthrough. Pray for this anointing to continue to grow, and for the Church of Canada to find a new level of hunger rising to passionately worship Jesus. Pray for worship teams and worship leaders in our local congregations to "go to the next level" as they lead the Church into the Throne room.
